HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT PILLOW?

There are a number of things to consider when choosing a pillow – it has to be flexible and provide sufficient support during the many different phases of sleep.  This allows the blood to circulate and keeps the cervical spine gently held.  Even the size of a pillow is essential. The size of 80x80cm is unsuitable, because it means the shoulders are also resting on the pillow.  If you experience a tense, stiff neck when waking up, try switching to an ergonomically shaped neck-support pillow.

The filling of a pillow also needs to be considered if you want to achieve optimal muscle relaxation for neck and shoulders.  A pillow that individually adapts to you is one of the possible means to rid yourself of pain and assure sound sleep.  It is important to be clear about what you need and are looking for in a perfect pillow.

LOOSE FILLED PILLOW OR SHAPED PILLOW

We differentiate between 2 different types of pillows – loose filled pillow, with natural latex flakes or pure new wool balls; and shaped pillow made from 100% natural latex core.  Dormiente only offer the very practical pillow size of 40x80cm, which is the size recommended by many orthopaedists and physiotherapists.

SUITABLE FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS

All dormiente pillows are equipped with an additional washable cover made from 100% high purity cotton, and they are particularly suitable for people suffering from allergies.  For hygiene reasons, pillows should be replaced every 1 to 2 years.
